2024 CURLING JAMAICA To Host The 3rd International Curling Friendly

CURLING JAMAICA TO HOST INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2024, THREE GAMES TO BE STREAMED LIVE


Toronto, ON, Canada / Kingston, Jamaica – Curling Jamaica will be hosting exhibition matches against other “new” curling nations on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).


Players involved with the national team programs of Kenya, Mexico, Portugal, Guyana, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Jamaica will be taking part in the event. The event is comprised of one draw each of doubles curling, traditional four-person team curling, and the new discipline of “triples” curling.


The tentative schedule is as follows:


Draw 1 (Triples) @ 10am

Sheet 1: Hong Kong Women vs. Philippines 1

Sheet 2: Jamaica Men vs. Portugal

Sheet 3: Jamaica Open vs. Philippines 2

Sheet 4: Jamaica Women vs. Kenya Women (streamed live)

Sheet 5: Guyana vs. Kenya Men


Draw 2 (Four-on-Four) @ 1pm

Sheet 1: Mexico vs. Portugal

Sheet 2: Jamaica Women vs. Hong Kong

Sheet 3: Jamaica Open vs. Philippines 1

Sheet 4: Jamaica Men vs. Guyana (streamed live)

Sheet 5: Kenya vs. Philippines 2


Draw 3 @ 4:30pm

Sheet 1: Guyana Doubles vs. Philippines Doubles 1

Sheet 2: Jamaica Doubles 1 vs. Portugal Doubles

Sheet 3: Kenya Doubles vs. Philippines Doubles 2

Sheet 4: Jamaica Doubles 2 vs. Mexico Doubles (streamed live)

Sheet 5: Kenya Open vs. Jamaica Open

This event provides a valuable opportunity for our own program and for other nations to evaluate current and aspiring national team program players against international competition. We also thank Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club for hosting our event and providing the live streaming option.”
